One of the major reasons I didn't blog much last week was that I helped the Chidsey Leadership Office take 50 students on a leadership retreat in Valle Crucis, NC (near Boone). The setting was beautiful and I highly recommend taking your students there if you're looking for a place to get away for a few days and you're not taking a huge group. We left on Wednesday afternoon and got back Friday afternoon. We had a very young group of students and somehow in two days they managed to wear me out. I served as a group facilitator to 8 students and co-lead a session with Jason (my boss) on Rescue and Recovery for student organizations looking to come back stronger next year after a rough spell. I think each of the students learned a lot and they definitely made connections for their organizations next year.
