I'm back in the office as of yesterday and boy is it quiet. So, today's lunch break features Christmas Recap 2011. It was a pretty quiet break this year, which was nice considering how much wedding planning we did last year during break and that it was a pretty action-packed Thanksgiving this year. We headed down to Columbia a couple of days before the big day and just had good family time. Jeff's parents came down to Columbia and we spent Christmas day with just me and Jeff and both sets of parents. It was nice to have everyone in one place. We did a big family gathering that night at my aunt's house. Then, we headed to Jeff's parents' in Hendersonville the next morning for Christmas Part Deux. We had more family time and even had a day trip skiing at Cataloochee (had to break in my new skis Jeff got me as an early christmas present). Wednesday night, we headed back to Charlotte and did lots of projects around the house, relaxed a bit, and spent New Years Eve with a great group of friends!
Santa was pretty good to Jeff and me this year. Jeff got lots of new clothes since none of his clothes fit anymore (skinny mini), a pressure cooker to can stuff from his garden, a shop vac he wanted, and the t-shirt quilt I got made for him with all of our college shirts. The fams surprised me with a new Nikon D5100, a 55-300 extra lens and other accessories, a le creuset casserole dish, new sweater, and the xbox kinect, just dance 3, and some new ski pants from Jeff. We've been playing with everything for the last week. So fun!
I hope you had a great holiday! Below are some pics from the new camera!
