The students are in their final two days of exams (most have already left). So, we're working on stuff for next semester/next year right now. Something on our radar is Steve Martin's band, the Steep Canyon Rangers, for the 2011-2012 Artist Series. I love the idea, but we're way in the early phases looking at lots of options (i.e. don't call me for tickets any time soon).
Jason sent me this link this morning that he came across. Typically, band riders are somewhat ridiculous and we like to make fun of them in our office. For instance, Death Cab for Cutie wanted puppies to play with backstage. Akon wanted the ability to not be wanded for weapons, etc. So, I loved this satirical rider Steve Martin put out there for the Steep Canyon Rangers. Hilarious. Enjoy and get an exaggerated taste of the fun things we get to scratch through in bright red ink on a regular basis!
